Smart Motorway is designed to intelligently manage the motorway under adverse weather conditions. Weather stations on the motorway are deployed to timely manage the motorway for smooth flow of traffic during adverse weather conditions.
Weather condition alerts are given to you by SMS alerts, VMS deployed on motorways at every 2 Km, FM radio transmission and through Android & IOS App as well. In case of weather hazards, immediate alerts are being displayed on VMSs including on electronic bill boards at rest areas. Announcements for such weather hazards are done at FM Radio and through SMS services on your mobile. You are being regularly updated for weather conditions to ensure your safe and reliable journey.
